Interregnum

On Sunday 9th July 2017, this appointment communication was issued on behalf of the Bishop of Ely

We look forward to welcoming Revd Lynda Davies to All Saints' Cottenham and Rampton at her licensing service at Cottenham on Monday 16th October at 7.30pm

In advance of her licencing service, Lynda has sent us this 'hello to Cottenham and Rampton' message

On Friday 28th April 2017 the Bishop of Ely sought to appoint a Priest in Charge for All Saints' Cottenham and All Saints' Rampton. The closing date for applications has now passed, with interviews to be held in late June.

This follows the submission to the diocese by the PCC of All Saints' Cottenham of an agreed advertisement and Parish Profile for the two parishes.

Given here for information is the booklet prepared for the All Saints' Cottenham 2017 APCM held on 26th April

During our continuing period of interregnum, we are building on strengths and prayerfully considering where God is taking us as we prepare our Parish Profile, working together with our sister parish, All Saints' Rampton.

All Saints' prayer for the interregnum:

Almighty God our Heavenly Father,

whose beloved Son our Saviour Jesus Christ, commanded Saint Peter to tend your flock, and Saint Paul to be your witness in all the world,  and have charged us at All Saints' and with all the saints to make disciples, send us, we pray, a priest to lead, teach and pasture your flock at All Saints' that we, abiding in Christ the true vine, may serve and witness in our community and bear much fruit to your glory, through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen

We continue to hold prayer groups, one recent meeting being focused on the spiritual content of our Profile as we pray for the Profile, the Person, the Panel and the Parish using Bible readings and periods of prayer. This focus remained for a second prayer meeting, this time being held in the parish of Rampton.
